The end of April brings the MSTEP test. We have been on the site looking at the tools and how to use them. They got to see some examples of the types of questions that might be asked and what the format looks like. After MSTEP we will take the NWEA.
We finished working on Motion and Forces in science. We did many great STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) activities! I think the students really enjoyed themas they learned about Motion and Force. There are movies on Twitter @mrshoehing3 Follow me!
In writing we began to write informational papers. The first one that we did was on Something I am Good At. We are focusing on writing informatively along with important components :
We just completed our addition and subtraction unit in math and will be working on geometry and fractions in geometric shapes. We will begin fractions right after geometry where we will begin to add and subtract them. As part of math we will be working on Test Smash, a daily review to help prepare us for our MSTEP test.
